Aanlê follows a five-stage workflow to keep you in control.
Phase 1: Capture (Drop off materials)
View: The Site (Inbox)
- Goal: Get ideas out of your head and into the system.
- How: Use the Quick Add bar or press
Cmd/Ctrl + Nanywhere in the app. - Email Capture: In Settings > Server Connection, find your unique email address. Forward emails here to instantly create tasks in The Site.
Phase 2: Clarify (Blueprint)
Action: Click “Blueprint” (Clarify) on any task.
- Goal: Decide what an item is and what to do with it.
- The Modal:
- Title/Notes: Refine the description.
- Move To: Decide the status (Active Build, Pending Delivery, etc.).
- Build (Project): Does this belong to a larger outcome?
- Zones (Contexts): Where do you need to be to do this? (e.g., @site, @office).
- Time/Energy: Estimate minutes and energy required (!low, !high).
Phase 3: Organize (Structure)
Sort your tasks into the correct lists:
- Active Build (Next Actions): Tasks you can do right now.
- Builds (Projects): Multi-step outcomes.
- Pending Delivery (Waiting For): Tasks delegated to others (Subcontractors).
- Future Builds (Someday/Maybe): Ideas to review later.
- Timeline (Schedule): Tasks with specific due dates.
Phase 4: Reflect (Inspection)
View: Inspection (Weekly Review)
- Goal: Weekly maintenance to ensure your system is trusted.
- Process: The view guides you to empty your Site, review Active Builds, check Pending Deliveries, and audit Future Builds.
- Sign Off: Click “Sign Off” (Finish Review) to log your inspection timestamp.
Phase 5: Engage (Break Ground)
Go to Active Build or Timeline and start working. Use Zones (Contexts) to filter tasks by your current location or toolset.
